Starting July 8, 2024, Burlington Endodontics will be accepting patients under the Canadian Dental Care Program (CDCP).
To help you understand how CDCP works at Burlington Endodontics, we have prepared the following quick guide. If you have any further questions, please feel free to give us a call at 905-633-8328 or email info@endoburlington.ca
The fees outlined in the Fee Guide for the Canada Dental Care Plan are less than the current Ontario Dental Association Specialist Fee Guide, the fee guide we use.
We do not accept the Fee Guide of the Canada Dental Care Plan as full payment of our fees.
The difference between our fees and the Canada Dental Care Plan fees will be billed to every patient and that amount will be due from the patient at the time of treatment.
The Canada Dental Care Plan does not cover all recommended procedures. We can assist you with determining what coverage you have for any procedures. Please be aware that your dental health needs may not be covered under your CDCP plan.
For example, initial root canal treatments are covered under the program starting July 8, 2024. However, if you require a retreatment of a tooth that has had a previous root canal, those treatments will require preapproval and will not be considered part of the program until Phase 2, starting November 2024.
To have complete transparency on fees and out of pocket expenses, we will aid you by sending a predetermination to CDCP in advance of booking your treatment. This will provide us with the details of your coverage under the program.
We will outline in writing, the total cost, the amount being paid by CDCP under your unique plan and the estimated out-of-pocket expense you will need to pay at the time of treatment.
Your actual out-of-pocket expense is payable at the time of treatment. It may not be possible to know the exact amount at the time of treatment until it is submitted to CDCP.
You must be enrolled in the Canada Dental Plan and your enrollment verified before your treatment and to provide that information to us before your appointment.
Failure on your part to do so does not absolve you of responsibility for payment of any services rendered by our office. If in doubt, please contact us and we can help you in verifying your enrollment.
The Canada Dental Care Plan coverage runs from July 1 to June 30 (12 months). You must re-apply every year to ensure eligibility. It is not like a normal insurance plan that continues year after year.
Not all our Specialists are participating in CDCP, and we reserve the right to opt out of participation in the Canada Dental Care Plan at any time.
You must contact us to schedule your appointment. It is imperative that you advise us if you are enrolled and eligible for the plan at the time you call to book.
If you do not advise us of your plan details before your appointment, we may not be able to verify your eligibility before the appointment in which case you may not actually have coverage for the visit.
